With two chances to add to his 2012 win total at Lee USA Speedway Friday night, defending NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Super Modified champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. came up empty, scoring a DNF in the first half of the Benson Lumber and Hardware doubleheader and missing the second race completely. This Friday night, July 6th, the best Sportsman drivers from around the New England area will meet at Lee USA Speedway for 100 laps of green flag action.
There has been interest from several PASS Sportsman competitors that will challenge the Lee regulars in this unique format.
All cars must make a mandatory pit stop within the 100 lap distance, change a right side tire and then rejoin the field.
The race pays $1,000 to win plus lap money. As of right now, 50 laps have a bonus on them. The leader will get $15 per lap lead $5 goes to the 5th place car and $5 goes to the 8th place car.

We have a schedule update as a result of the two and half rainouts we have had this season:
The Ironman feature initially scheduled for July 3rd has been moved to June 29th. The makeup Whelen All -American Small Block Super feature scheduled to run the June 22nd will now run twins on July 6th. The Northeast Midget Association will make up their feature event that was rained out on June 22nd will run twins on July 13th when NEMA makes their annual visit.
So, now that you are brought up to speed, join us this Friday, June 29th when Laticrete presents the Port City 100 Valenti Modified Racing Series. In addition, you will get to see the Prime Warehouse & Storage Late Model Sportsman double feature, David’s Race Cars & Components Hobby Stocks restart from 6/22 and an additional feature, American Used Auto Ironman feature, and the Classic Lites heats and features.
Defending NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodified champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. returned to his winning ways in the 30-lap feature event at Lee USA Speedway Friday night, running away to collect his first checkered flag of the 2012 season.
Leslie Keyser moved out to the early lead when flagman Don Horvath unfurled the green flag to let the Benson Lumber and Hardware feature event loose, but just five laps into the race, he was headed to the pits and still looking for his first career win. (more)
This past Friday night’s racing program at the Lee USA Speedway once again fell victim to inclement weather. Incoming thunderstorms forced the cancellation of the entire program. Racing action at Lee USA will resume this Friday night at 7:15PM. Besides the regular NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing program, the show will also feature the ever popular Quad Wars. Last season the NY team defeated the NH team, and have vowed to do it again. New Hampshire team captain Matt Smith has promised revenge and he and his teammates are determined to do what it takes to prevail. (more)

First offense: You will be placed last on the lead lap.
Second offense: You will be disqualified…you will not get any points or any money.
With threatening weather quickly moving into the area on Friday night, Lee USA Speedway track officials were in hurry-up mode from the drop of the first green flag, and entire program of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing presented by Mobil 1 went into the record books well before the rains came.
