Lee, NH – The 2013 season at Lee USA Speedway was one of the most competitive ever, and the drivers who picked up Rookie of the Year honors exemplified the competitive nature of the each and every division that is part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition on a weekly basis at “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed”.
Jake Stergios took the honor in the track’s headline division, the Benson Lumber and Hardware Small Block Supermodifieds, taking over the driving duties in the family-owned #11 racer formerly-numbered #57 while his brother P.J. took a back seat working in the pits for the 2013 campaign.
Lee, NH – Haverhill, MA driver Tommy Tombarello rolled to career championship number three in the Lee USA Speedway NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodifieds in 2013, the third time in the past four seasons he’s been top man in the track’s headline division.
Tommy picked up his first track title back in the 2010 campaign and backed it up with another to close out the 2012 season in his self-owned #98 machine, but this year he teamed up with the ownership tandem of Bobby and Eddie Witkum, Sr., longtime veterans of the Supermodified wars. Mark your calendars for January 11th 2014
We have arranged for the VFW in Kingston, the same site on Rt 125 as the last couple of winter meetings. The agenda will include a short rules update, as the changes are minimal. The concentration has been in the areas of outside competition to make it an easy transition to come and race with us at the speedway.
In addition we will have a presentation updating the changes in the points system and the operational model for the 2014 season. Each division will determine the model they most desire to compete on a weekly basis. Only the registered team drivers and owners will have a vote in this process. We will be taking registrations at the meeting.
We look forward to seeing all of our 2014 teams. The schedule will be
8AM – 10AM Ironman division
10AM 12AM Hobby Stocks
1PM 3PM Late Model Sportsman
3PM 5PM Small Block Super Modifieds
